To our lovely (and patient) Lola Clients,
We are thrilled to be working on re-opening our doors after such a long time away. It's going to be wonderful to be able to offer you a bit of normalcy and self-care!
As we've all learned by now, there's a new way of doing things to ensure maximum safety for you, your stylist, and all of our loved ones.
Below is the (hefty) list of health & safety measures and new procedures that we've implemented under the guidance of the Alameda County Public Health Department. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY:
- Masks are required for entry into the building. Please use an over-the-ear mask, as it will have to stay on for the entire duration of your appointment.
- There is a sanitization station immediately upon entry. You will receive a temperature check, a health screening, and be asked to sanitize your hands once inside. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to sanitize your belongings in a UV sterilization box at this station.
- Within 24 hours of your appointment, you will receive an invoice from your stylist at Lola Salon for your upcoming service. We ask that you pay for the service ahead of time as often as you're able to.
- There is no longer a changing room, so please wear clothing that will fit comfortably under a smock/cape, and please do not bring in layers that will need to be removed.
- Please do not bring any other items inside with you other than your phones and car keys. (No bags, purses, jackets, food, drinks, or other items that would require sanitization or space.)
- If you arrive early for your appointment, you will be asked to wait outside until your actual start time.
- As much as possible, maintain at least a 6 ft distance from others- both in the salon and outside waiting.
- If paying with cash, please note that change will *not* be available.
- If you are booking a color-only appointment, be advised you will not receive a blowdry with color-only service.
- There will be no shared-contact items available (Coffee, water, magazines, etc)
- Your stylists will all have face masks, face shields, and all additional PPE required for safety.
- We are operating at 25% capacity, which means there will only ever be at most three stylists and three clients in the building at once.
- Please do not bring any additional people with you to your appointment. The exceptions are if you are escorting a minor, if you require a care provider, or if you are a minor and need a guardian. However, you still may be asked to wait outside or in your car.
- We will have as much ventilation as possible throughout the day: all doors open, ceiling fans, as well as additional air purifying fans in use at all times.
- Each station is at minimum 6 ft apart and will be properly sanitized between each client, along with the shampoo bowls/chairs, and any other shared or used surface.
- If using the restroom, your stylist will escort you to hand off a towel for hand-drying, and you will need to comply with all posted rules for restroom usage.
Please understand that you will need to comply with all of these new procedures in order to be granted entry and keep your appointments. If you are feeling sick or ill in any way, PLEASE let your stylist know asap and reschedule your appointment.
We will still be offering color-kit pick-up days for those of you not ready to be seen in-person just yet. You can arrange these orders directly with your stylists. Furthermore, since we are operating at 25%, your stylist may be contacting you with further information regarding their scheduling. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any inquiries.
We know this is a lot. Since this is an evolving system with many variables, we must remain flexible for further changes. BUT- we are still 100% in it and figuring it out together!
Thank you all for your support during these last six months, and for sticking with us while we work through these changes. We look forward to getting back up and running!
All of our love and gratitude,
